Welcome to the Goju-Shorei Karate web site. Our purpose is to open the doors, for the first time, to this unique, battle-born and effective system of empty-hand self-defense. There are 30 techniques, plus one kata, for every belt rank, and combined with the basics, this allows us to focus on the core curriculum of an extremely effective means of self-defense. It won’t be easy, but it will be one of the most fulfilling endeavors any student has ever undertaken.
