BIOGRAPHY OF SENSEI MARTA AZZAM
Sensei Marta Azzam
|
Marta Azzam was born in Czechoslovakia.
She studied ballet and performed professionally with the Bratislava
National Theatre. As a nurse, she has worked in Slovakia and many
countries in North Africa. She came to the United States in 1993 and she
is married and has two children.
Sensei Marta Azzam began studying
ShutoKan in 1995 and Goju-Shorei Karate and the Goju-Shorei Weapons System
with Master Dave McNeill and Sensei Ken Mammmen in 2000.
Sensei Azzam enjoys teaching at the
Community Center in Carson City. Classes are open to any individual,
ages 3 to 100. Goju-Shorei Karate and Goju-Shorei Weapons are taught, but
Sensei Azzam invites many other instructors into the dojo to teach her students.
She wants all her students to have knowledge of other martial arts styles. Children's
classes not only teach the martial arts, but discipline, respect and
confidence. All who wish to learn martial arts and
self-defense are welcome!
